A British luxury retailer has opened a large 14,000sq ft store in Chester city centre .

Flannels, located on Eastgate Row, houses three floors of men’s and women’s designer clothing and accessories.

From runway collections to the latest streetwear drops, the store’s brand portfolio features emerging designers and luxury’s biggest names including Burberry, Saint Laurent, Off White and Stone Island.

Michael Murray, head of elevation for Flannels, said: “We are really proud to open this new luxury retail destination in the heart of Chester . Our next-generation elevated stores offer customers the biggest brands in luxury fashion and contemporary streetwear all under one roof.

“The overall concept is to provide an intimate and luxurious boutique-style store on a very large scale.”

Ahead of the brand’s hotly anticipated London flagship opening in September, the Chester store will be the retailer’s 42nd location and was designed by London and Miami-based designers Argent whose international projects include luxury residential, super yachts, private jets as well as upmarket retail.

The sympathetic internal fit out reflects the heritage of the Grade II* listed building.

Customers enter the store through a discreet, modern shopfront that leads through to a huge state-of-the-art digital screen and newly installed atrium allowing a preview of the impressive three-story store.

Flannels Chester will also debut the brand’s innovative style and collect service.

This allows shoppers to purchase online and have their order delivered to their nearest Flannels location, where their pieces will be ready to try on in a changing suite, with assistance from the brand’s trained fashion advisors.

Flannels has ambitious expansion plans with an extra 16 stores due to open over the next year alone which could include Barons Quay in Northwich if negotiations go well.
